Isn't It Amazing
As the 2006 elections near, and as Bush continues to magically turn everything he touches into shit, the Republicans are suddenly starting to see the light!

Bob Barr introducing Al Gore so Big Al can roast Bush? Newt Gingrich shocked, SHOCKED to find corruption in Congress? Grover Norquist and Paul Weyrich dope-slapping Bush over the NSA illegalities and the budget? What's a Rovian to do?

Folks. They're moving to the center. They do this every four years for the Congressional elections. The writing's on the wall, 2006 is going to be a referendum on Bush and no one wants any piece of those coattails. At this point, clearly the Repubs. are going to lose seats (unless we have a terraa attack/alert, which is highly likely) so the goal is going to be to not lose majorities.

Watch the DLC types hail all this political positioning as a "return to good governance and civility" by conservatives.

Ah huh.
