Toast?
Is Abu Gonzales toast?

UPDATE: What? That was it? He evaded three or four questions and then just turned on his heels and walked out?

Gonzales is toast. If that's the best he could do after having plenty of time to figure out what to say, he's a goner.
Under ordinary circumstances I might actually agree with Kevin Drum in his assessment above. But these are not ordinary circumstances. And even if Gonzales does fall on his sword for Rove (see: Libby, Scooter), then it really doesn't mean much because Bush is still in office and still picking his boys.

Sorry to be so pessimistic, but I just don't think this is really going to go anywhere.
