Skip It
McCain will skip the vote on debating the Iraq war in the Senate this Saturday. He's going to continue campaigning in Iowa.

You've gotta wonder what this means? Are Republicans confident that they'll not need his vote or has Republican unity fallen apart so badly that McCain figures there's no need to be around for the vote because cloture will pass?

Update: According to this, while McCain will miss the vote the Dem Prez candidates all plan to be there for the vote. Kinda adds fuel to the fire that the Republicans may be throwing in the towel on opposing a resolution.

Update II: Proof that McCain isn't necessary because Reid has the votes.
