Here's an article in National Geographic claiming that peak oil is a fallacy, and that there's plenty of oil to be had. His excuse for high prices is that investment in drilling and refining has been too low, thus there is a production gap.

I don't agree, but it's an interesting read. Now if he would address the 600 other reasons why we need to get rid of oil, then I'll stop being concerned about a petroleum based economy.
