Note to idiot editors, reporters and pundits.
To continue to frame withdrawal from Iraq as a "disasterous" position is idiotic.
Iraq is a DISASTER. It became a
DISASTER the minute we chose to invade and remove the leadership. If you don't agree with that, it was a
DISASTER when Bush presided over the "reconstruction". I can chose, easily, twenty milestones where it was a further "
DISASTER". There is no policy that can now be implemented that will result in
anything but a DISASTER, no matter how many Friedman units are thrown at it.
The only question before us is what kind of
DISASTER will it be? A
DISASTER with a lot more Americans dead, a whole of more money spent and a further erosion of American credibility, or a
DISASTER without those costs? Like the American Civil War (and most civil wars), Iraq will only cease to be a
DISASTER when all sides are exhausted in their fighting and it becomes in their best interests to negotiate.
Got it?
There is nothing possible but a
DISASTER eventually. Iraq is a cul de sac .... there's no way out but to withdraw. And to let people continue to die in this
DISASTER is to merely put a salve on your denial, and that is
CRIMINAL!
*Rant Off*
