Lebannon
Billmon, who clearly has some inside sources and extensive knowledge on the subject, has been on fire writing about Israel and Lebannon. He continues today citing media accounts of continued fighting along the border. I strongly recommend a regular reading of his blog if you want to follow the war.

The short version of his analysis thus far is that Israel is getting unsustainable casualties in a war that has been surprisingly difficult, while creating more resistance forces among Hezbollah. Israel has not even "pacified" the area right at the border, much less further north to the Litani river. Israel now has their very own version of whack-a-mole going on, just like the U.S. in Iraq.

After Ariel Sharon's little Lebannese adventure, you'd think they would have learned. But alas, Sharon is out-of-it and his experiences are lost. A whole new leadership group appears to have to learn again.
