Sunday Bobbleheads
Not much going on today, unless you consider the naming of a general who's never heard of civil rights to head the CIA, "news". The media doesn't think it matters much.

Anyway, I was watching the "This Week" bobbleheads this morning. I've committed to watching as long as they continue to put a true liberal on their pundit panel. Today they had Katrina Vanden Hauvel again, editor of the nation.

When discussing the Porter Goss thing, like many media outlets, there was zero mention of the whole hooker/party thing that might be involved. Then. Suddenly. Katrina brought it up.

Well, you'd have thought someone let a fart .... right there on the set.

Stephie immediately went into information control. George looked like someone had suggested we ban baseball. It's too bad Cokie wasn't there. It would have been swell to watch her clutch her pearls right off her neck in shock.

To Stephie's credit, he gave a brief synopsis for the uninformed viewer, which was probably most of them since the media has swallowed, whole, the White House line of Goss being "transitional". Martha Radditz (a fantastic reporter by the way) played the role of the moderate, and supported Katrina in the idea that the Watergategate thing involving Goss's buddy, Dusty Foggo, also likely played a big role in Goss's dismissal.

It was really funny watching another "Colbert" moment, where someone in the media actually does some decent punditry. See! Liberals are good for ratings.
