Go Waxman
A lot of chatter about whether the Congress will or won't pursue the PlameGate issue now that the trial is over. Ed Schultz today even went so far as to suggest that nothing would come of it because Dems want Cheney et. al to stay in place because it helps the Dems during 08'.

Not sure about that.

But I did come across this a moment ago:
*UPDATE — Henry Waxman has just announced that he will hold hearings on the disclosure of Valerie Plame Wilson's identity. "In addition, the Committee today sent a letter to Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald commending him for his investigation and requesting a meeting to discuss testimony by Mr. Fitzgerald before the Committee."
Go Henry!

This may seem obvious to most folks. But it appears to me that Fitzgerald was sending a message to Congress. The normally straight arrow, minimal comment Fitzgerald, made the "cloud over the White House" comment as well as revealing many facts during the trial that were actually somewhat tangential to prosecuting Libby (but not tangential to getting Cheney). It's almost like Fitzgerald was saying, "hey folks, to the letter of the law I can't get these scumbags. But if you all will just dig in to what I've uncovered through the grand jury and discovery, add a few subpoenas to it .... stir .... you'll find all kinds of really nice morcels to chew on that can help you hold these scumbags accountable."

By the way, Waxman has invited Fitzgerald for a chat about possibly testifying. I would give some serious cash to sit in the hearing room if/when that happens.
