Do you believe this:
NEW YORK: Calling Iran a danger to the U.S. and one of Israel's greatest threats, U.S. senator and presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said "no option can be taken off the table" when dealing with that nation.

"U.S. policy must be clear and unequivocal: We cannot, we should not, we must not permit Iran to build or acquire nuclear weapons," the Democrat told a crowd of Israel supporters. "In dealing with this threat ... no option can be taken off the table."
I'm going to have to start calling her Dubya Clinton for gawd's sake!

Maybe this is obvious to everyone else, but the U.S. has a serious Israel problem. Our collective pandering to the excesses to Israel plays as large of a role in our misadventures in the middle east as oil. The Jewish lobby in Washington is enormous, powerful, and well-funded. In essence, the U.S. has become the military arm of Israel and Saudi Arabia, paying the price for their particular concerns whether legitimate or not. And the influence of Israel may be as difficult to shake as the influence of oil.

Update: I had forgotten this, but Edwards did the same thing albeit some time ago. I wonder if sabre-rattling against Iran would still be his position? If it is, I may be rethinking my feelings about the guy. The U.S. simply cannot be held hostage by the Jewish lobby in Washington.
