I've always thought that the show "24" and it's pernicious use of torture was a pox on American culture. The glamourization and promotion of an "end justifies the means" approach to law enforcement has made it too easy for the public to accept these brutalities.

Now, Digby gives us some details of the show's originators, swell guys that they are, and how American soldiers have on occasion looked to the show for "ideas".
