Just So You Know
I know.
I know.
It'll be no surprise.
You knew it was coming.
But I feel duty-bound to mention it.
The right-wing keyboard commandos have outed the name of at least one of the boys involved with Foley. Now the right-wingnut media machine will whirrrr into action and begin to trash him and prove that Foley, a 52 year old professional politician, was the victim of the wiles of a 16 year old testosterone laiden young man.
UPDATE: I'm sorry, it's not just that the boys seduced Foley, it's that there is a gay cabal in the House out to get Foley!!!!
Personally? I hope the wingnuts continue to push this meme. The "cabal" is made up of Republicans which simply continues to point out to the faithful the hypocrisy of the Republican party. Imagine. "A nasty nest of Republican fags enabling a fag Republican House member to diddle little boys!" (slang used a la the evangelicals). And they think this is a winning strategy? Shows how bad things are.
Is there anything worse these days than The CBS News with Katie Couric? They put this story up last night on the nightly news cast. I haven't posted much about it, but there seems to be a story-a-day about how CBS is pandering to the wingnuts.

Dwight Lefever, a Roberts family spokesman, said an Amish neighbor comforted the Roberts family hours after the shooting and extended forgiveness to them. Among Roberts' survivors are his wife and three children.
"I hope they stay around here and they'll have a lot of friends and a lot of support," said Daniel Esh, a 57-year-old Amish artist and woodworker whose three grandnephews were inside the school during the attack.
