Bloggered
I was actually going to put up a couple of posts yesterday.

And today.

But blogger has been such a PITA that it's been nearly impossible. So here's a few stray holiday musings.

Despite our holiday, Iraq continues to be a killing field and the only Iraqi national political leader with any standing, Sistani, is washing his hands of trying for any semblance of moderation there. Joementum is still an wanker, the Republicans are desperately trying to find a name to run on other than "Republican" and I'm still waiting for a terror incident (although it's still a bit early ... more likely October).

On the personal front, the grapes are at 17 brix and the acid is still very high. Probably another two or three weeks to harvest. The weather has been quite cool with morning drizzle until about noon. This is good for hang-time and wine complexity, but bad for we impatient types. I've been making Salami lately and managed (it's a looong story) to literally cook 5 lbs. of the stuff last night.

It's not supposed to be "cooked".

I'm working on a redo today.

Beyond that, I'm just laying low and enjoying the beginning of fall.

Be sure and check out the kids blog. He doesn't put stuff up often, which is unfortunate. He writes circles around his old man (and most people) and he does so while likely having fourteen other browser windows open and playing a gameboy on the side, only using a few stray synapses.

It's sickening.

Have yourself a nice labor day and if anything unusual strikes my fancy, I might be willing to take a hour or so and try and post it.
