Bush's polls continue to hit new lows.

That's some of the news. But the bigger news is the impact of unpopularity on Bush himself. And the answer to that is it's likely to make him more desperate and more messianic. If you corner a narcissist, they decompensate. And if they also happen to have their finger on a nuclear trigger, that's not good.

Gang. I haven't felt this level of concern for our safety in a long time.

Meanwhile, go read William Arkin on the Iranian situation. He makes a very good point that while totally agreeing with the trust of the reporting on Bush's plans to attack Iran, he wishes the media would give us more in terms of the types of plans being put together, and how this would make reading the tea leaves a little easier. He further hints at the possibility of a combined Israeli/American attack on Iran.
