"Despite strong opposition to the war in Iraq and low approval ratings for President Bush, Connecticut voters approve of Sen. Joseph Lieberman 62% to 24% and say 64% to 24% that he should be reelected," according to a new Quinnipiac poll.It would seem that the unhappiness by many Democrats about Joe Lieberman might be better directed at the good voters of Connecticut. He appears to be well-representing the wishes of his state.
Lieberman would beat former Gov. Lowell Weicker (I), 65% to 21%, getting 67% of the Democratic vote, 72% of the Republican vote and 60% of the independent vote. Only 27% of voters want Weicker to run.
