The Hammer Falls
Now for a happy note:

HOUSTON - Barely one of every five of former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's constituents would vote for him if the election were held now, according to a newspaper poll released Saturday.

Damn, that does my heart good. Keep thinking those positive thoughts, people. This is the start of our time.
No negative thinking! As Churchill said, "Never, never, never quit!"

As a Houstonian, I would say, don't take too much from this. This district may throw out Delay, but it would take a monumental screwup by the Republicans not to at least get the Republican running as independent in, and then have him "join" the party. Sugarland is a suburban version of the Texas the rest of the country makes fun of. Lampson is a great campaigner and knows how to win, but it's still going to be uphill.
