Why Ford Is In Trouble
I know I've been focusing a bit on the Senate race of Harold Ford in Tenn. The GOP dirty tricks and dirty advertising have been astounding with, yet again, a black man the target. I'm sure the Corker campaign had the perfect data to craft the ads that would hurt Ford and they implemented it well:
"In the campaign's final weeks, just enough female voters appear to be abandoning the Democrat [Ford] to shift the race. Ford had led among women by 10 points on 10/1, by 10 points on 10/25, but today, Election Eve, leads among females by 1. Without women, Ford cannot overcome Corker's consistent 12-point lead among men."
By painting Ford as a womanizing black man who may be (gasp!) interested in white women, just enough women voters have had their limbic brain areas tickled to change. Funny thing is, it's likely that these same women are the very same women who fantasize about sex with Ford ....
