The Rebellion Continues
This editorial in the Army Times calling for Rummy to resign is a dangerous precedent. In many countries, this would be the prelude to a coup. I agree with the editorial, but am not sure it's up to the generals to decide. Either way, it's a statement about exactly how incompetent Bush is .

On the other hand, this story is perfectly appropriate (although I don't care a whit what these numbskulls think about much of anything). The blame game has already begun and we're witnessing the fracturing of the Republican party ...... finally.

I wouldn't worry so much about a coup as these guys following orders to implement martial law. Plus, just because you get appointed to be the SecDef doesn't mean you know anything about conducting a war. Obviously. Besides loyalty to one Commander in Chief, officers have a duty to their men and that includes not leading them into harms way for no good reason.

They are just doing their job, just a little late. They have to look into the mirror also.
