Ease Up
Interesting.

An article during the election of House Majority Leader suggested that Boehner won over Blunt because he was going to push for more stringent lobbying reforms. He was going to be a fresh face for reform while Blunt was going to be "more of the same".

Un huh.

This from Slate:
And inside the WP, an excellent look at Republicans who feel that the party's proposed lobbying reform is too stringent, a view shared by new Majority Leader John Boehner.
Turns out the Boehner is suggesting looser standards than the original reforms proposed by Hassert. No limits on gifts etc., just reporting of lobbying activity so "the voters can decide". Hell ... we can hardly get voters to watch a 30 sec. TV ad, much less look into their reps. lobbying contributions.

The House GOP is one of the most corrupt in history. The good news is that if Boner ... ah ... Boehner has his way, it will open the way for the Dems to slam the House leadership on doing nothing.

Assuming the Dems can be something more than "sound and fury, signifying nothing."
